Naturally, the present is the only capital available for us in life and it is to be invested intelligently, so that the future may bring forth sufficient profit. This continuity of time which is the sole web that holds together the innumberable happenings in life is generally overlooked by the unintelligent, and they protest against the meaningless confusionaround and wonder what can  be the purpose of life. To realise this web of continuity is to understand the deeper meaning and the poetic signifiance of life. Existence is not a strife to the intelligent. To the vulgar, the day to day liofe is a purposeless groping from confusion to confusion to reach nowhere but to get knocked about until chance drowns them beneath the surface of manifested existence.
